MANILA, Philippines — Sean Ramos found his form just in time, firing a closing 65 to climb from joint 39th to a share of 22nd in the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament, which local standout Kevin Akbar won in come-from-behind fashion at the Damai Indah Golf’s BSD course in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday.

Akbar produced an eagle-aided 63 to storm from joint fifth and claim a two-stroke victory at 25-under 263, with Singapore’s James Leow and Malaysia’s Khavish Varadan finishing joint second at 265 after rounds of 62 and 65, respectively.

Third-round leader Nathan Han slowed to a 68 and slipped to joint fourth at 266 alongside Matt Killen, who carded a 67.

Starting on No. 10, Ramos made little headway despite opening with three straight birdies on his first nine holes. A bogey on No. 1 briefly stalled his momentum, but the Filipino responded with an explosive finish, birdieing five of his final six holes to close with a 32-33 for 274.

The late surge was not enough to propel him into the Top 10, but it underscored Ramos’ determination and resilience — encouraging signs as he continues his regional campaign.

Keanu Jahns, the best-placed Filipino after the first two rounds, shot a 68 featuring six birdies but was undone by a double bogey on No. 5. The Filipino-German settled for a share of 23rd at 275.

Seeking to recover from a third-round 73 following rounds of 68 and 66, Jahns began his back nine with three birdies in his first seven holes. He then added back-to-back birdies from Nos. 1 and 2 to move five-under for the day and raise hopes of a Top 10 or Top 15 finish.

But the charge was derailed by the costly double bogey on the par-4 fifth although he bounced back with a birdie on the par-3 seventh to salvage a 35-33 finish.

Angelo Que, meanwhile, struggled to a 73 marred by a double bogey on No. 14 and slipped to joint 47th at 282.
