PTIC-London facilitates UK talks to boost Phl IT-BPM partnerships

CEBU, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Centre in London (PTIC-London), facilitated a series of meetings between Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) President and Chief Executive Officer Jack Madrid and key companies and stakeholders in the United Kingdom to explore opportunities for partnerships in the IT-BPM sector.

An article published by DTI.gov.ph said the meetings focused on strengthening business ties between the Philippines and the UK and finding areas where companies from both countries can work together.

The discussions were led by PTIC-London Special Trade Representative May Niña Celynne Layug. They provided an opportunity to highlight the continued growth and global potential of the Philippine IT-BPM industry, while also discussing possible areas for collaboration with UK businesses.

The meetings also sought to strengthen connections between organizations in the two markets and identify opportunities that could help Philippine IT-BPM companies expand their presence in the UK.

PTIC-London said it continues to help connect Philippine industries with potential UK business partners as part of efforts to expand market opportunities and further strengthen the Philippines as a competitive destination for IT-BPM services.

The IT-BPM industry is one of the Philippines’ key business sectors, with opportunities for partnerships and market expansion being explored in international markets such as the UK.
