‘Maybe accountability would be a refreshing change’

“l am not a smuggler, nor did l import this vehicle into the country. I have never imported any vehicle into the Philippines,” umpisa ng Instagram (IG) story kahapon ni Derek Ramsay.

Dagdag niya: “I purchased this car four years ago from JHON LEE Of JWORKS u­sing my hard-earned money. At the time of purchase, I was informed that the vehicle was tax-paid. The vehicle was subsequently registered with the LTO, and the registration and plates were issued under my name.”

Dagdag pa niya : “I have no idea why this issue is now happening. I want to reiterate that I purchased the vehicle in good faith and believed that everything was properly documented and legally registered,” paliwanag pa ni Derek sa gitna ng imbestigasyon ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) tungkol sa diumano’y paggamit ng pekeng plaka ng luxury car (Porsche 918 Spyder) kung saan nahaharap na rin siya ngayon sa hiwalay na isyu sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) dahil sa diumano’y maling deklarasyon sa nasabing sasakyan. “I have already cooperated with the LTO regarding the issue involving the plates, and I will also fully cooperate with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) regarding this new matter.

“I respectfully maintain that I had no involvement in the importation, taxation, or registration of this vehicle beyond purchasing it in good faith from JWorks.

“I sincerely hope that JWorks will provide an explanation and take the necessary steps to clarify and resolve this matter.

“l am willing to provide any documents or information in my possession and cooperate with the authorities as necessary to establish the facts,” buong post ng dating actor now entrepreneur.

At habang binibigyang-linaw ni Derek ang pangyayari, may cryptic post naman si Ellen Adarna na kinokonek ng ilan sa kontrobersiya ng kanyang dating mister.

Sabi ni Ellen sa IG story: “Lack of due diligence? Poor discernment? Or just another excuse to blame someone else?

Nauna nang nag-post si Derek ng “I’ve seen the issue regarding the 918 Spyder on social media. I do not drive any cars with fake plates. All  my vehicles have proper plates. All my vehicles have proper plates. Pls carefully read the statement issued by LTO to properly understand what is happening.”
