DepEd sa mga guro: Maging propesyonal sa socmed
MANILA, Philippines — Pinaalalahanan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang mga guro at iba pang personnel nito na panatilihin ang pagiging propesyonal at maingat sa paggamit ng social media.
Ang paalala ay ginawa ng DepEd sa isang Memorandum Circular na may petsang Agosto 11, 2026 at pirmado ni Undersecretary Fatima Panontongan.
Sa naturang circular, sinabi ni Panontongan na, “The use of personal social media accounts does not, by itself, dispense with the professional and ethical standards applicable to DepEd personnel, particularly where the content is connected with the performance of their official functions, identifies or represents them as DepEd personnel, or involves learners, school activities, or school premises.”
Nabatid na inilabas ng DepEd ang memorandum matapos na makatanggap ng mga report hinggil sa social media posts na kinasasangkutan ng mga guro at school personnel na hindi naaayon sa standards of professionalism ng DepEd.
Nagpaalala rin ang ahensya sa mga guro na huwag magpaskil ng online attacks laban sa kapwa empleyado ng DepEd, at idinagdag na hindi nila maaaring sirain ang reputasyon ng ahensiya.
