Old, new foes mix it up with JB

MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee will run into both familiar rivals and new ones in his quest for Ring No. 8 in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

DeQuan Jones of NLEX, Aaron Fuller of Rain or Shine, and George King, now with San Miguel Beer after an initial stint with Blackwater, take another tour of duty in Asia’s first play-for-pay league, raring for a breakthrough this time.

Former NBA player Darius Days carries the mantle for defending champion TNT, standing in for injured resident import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. RHJ, who won three title confrontations with JB, is recovering from an Achilles injury he sustained in December.

Also set for their PBA debuts are BJ Johnson of Phoenix, KJ Buffen of Magnolia and Kentrell Barkley of Blackwater.
