BOC-Cebu lauds Mactan’s top 10 importers for 2025

CEBU, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu recognized the Top 10 Importers of the Subport of Mactan for 2025 during an awarding ceremony on June 8, 2026.

At the event, companies were honored for their significant contributions to trade, revenue generation, and economic growth.

Leading the awarding of plaques of recognition were District Collector Alexandra Yap-Lumontad and Subport Collector Gerardo Campo, LCB, who commended the awardees for their role in supporting legitimate trade and strengthening the country’s economy.

The companies recognized were A.D. Gothong Manufacturing Corp., San Miguel Foods Inc., Louis Vuitton (Philippines) Inc., Universal Feed Mill Corporation, Chevron Philippines Inc., Christian Dior Philippines Inc., UNAHCO Inc., Petron Corporation, Luxury Goods Philippines Inc., and General Milling Corporation.

In her message, Yap-Lumontad expressed gratitude to the awardees for their continued trust and partnership with the bureau.

“This recognition celebrates not only your business achievements but also the strong partnership between the Bureau of Customs and the trading community. We remain committed to providing efficient and transparent customs service that supports your growth and success,” she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Campo lauded the companies for their commitment to compliance and lawful trade.

“Your contribution helps drive economic activity and reinforces the Port’s role in facilitating legitimate trade. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration in the years ahead,” he said.

The BOC Port of Cebu, in a Facebook post, said the recognition highlights the vital role of the private sector in sustaining economic activity and promoting responsible and lawful importation.

Aligned with the directives of Commissioner of Customs Ariel Nepomuceno, the Port of Cebu reaffirmed its commitment to promoting legitimate trade, strengthening partnerships with stakeholders, and delivering responsive customs services in support of economic development. — (FREEMAN)
