MANILA, Philippines — Klub Don Juan de Manila (KDJM) has filed a formal protest with the Philippine Racing Commission regarding the upcoming 2026 PHILRACOM-PCSO Triple Crown Stakes Race second leg, scheduled Sunday.

In a letter to PHILRACOM chairman Reli de Leon, KDJM raised concerns over the race’s shrinking field size. The organization warns that proceeding with few horses violates regulations and will cause severe financial damage to the industry.

KDJM cited critical issues: a rule requiring a minimum of five entries for stakes races, loss of betting and prize money, and impact on public revenue.

“To preserve the prestige of the Triple Crown Series and safeguard public wagering revenues, the Board must ensure strict compliance,” said KDJM president Ryan Ponce.
