15 OFWs repatriated from Israel

MANILA, Philippines — Fifteen overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) safely returned to the Philippines on Friday after being repatriated from Israel, following the recent ceasefire and the reopening of Ben Gurion International Airport.
The workers arrived in Manila via a Philippine Airlines connecting flight from Bangkok after initially boarding an El Al flight from Israel on June 4. Their return marks the second batch of Filipinos repatriated in recent days, as part of ongoing government-assisted evacuation efforts.
The operation was carried out through the coordinated efforts of the Migrant Workers Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and the embassy of the Philippines in Israel.
The Department of Migrant Workers said the latest group brings to a total of 235 Filipinos assisted in leaving Israel since Feb. 28. They include caregivers, hotel workers, stranded tourists, pilgrims, students and minor dependents.
Officials said assistance efforts remain ongoing to ensure the safety and welfare of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the situation abroad.
