Special holidays declared in 6 areas

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in six areas of the country this June, to mark local anniversaries and festivities.
June 1 will be a special non-working day in Palapag, Northern Samar for the celebration of the Sumuroy Day, according to Proclamation 1268.
Proclamations 1266, 1269, 1270, 1271 and 1272 declared June 18 a special non-working day in Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya; Kalilangan, Bukidnon; Carmen, Davao del Norte; Presentacion, Camarines Sur, and Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro, respectively.
The people of Ambaguio will commemorate the town’s founding anniversary, while Kalilangan residents will mark the municipality’s 60th founding anniversary.
Residents of Carmen will celebrate the town’s founding anniversary, while Presentacion and Calintaan will mark their 65th charter and 60th founding anniversaries, respectively.
The proclamations were signed on May 26 by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by the authority of President Marcos.
