PDP-Laban solons iba-blacklist

MANILA, Philippines — Binalaan kahapon ng liderato ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) ang mga Kongresistang boboto pabor sa impeachment ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte na iba-blacklist, hindi tatanggap ng suporta at hindi rin makakatakbo sa slate ng partido sa halalan partikular na sa 2028 national elections.

Sa isang statement nitong Mayo 10, sinabi ng pro-Duterte party na may kakaharaping ‘political consequences’ ang mga Kongresista sa ilalim ng PDP-Laban na susuporta sa impeachment  na itinakdang pagdebatehan at pagbotohan na sa plenaryo ng Kamara ngayong araw, Mayo 11.

“PDP will take the same principled stand. Those who vote for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte cannot expect political refuge in PDP,” ayon sa PDP.

“They will not be allowed to cross over to the party. They will be blacklisted from running under the PDP banner. And where necessary, PDP will field and support a competitive candidate in their district,” dagdag pa ng partido ni VP Sara.

Bilang reaksiyon, sinabi naman ng mga mambabatas mula sa Makabayan bloc na ‘petty threats’ lamang umano ito ng PDP para harangin na maipadala sa Senado ang Articles of Impeachment laban kay VP Sara matapos umabot sa mahigit 200 Kongresista ang nangakong susuporta sa impeachment.

Naniniwala silang may sapat na bilang para makakuha ng suporta sa impeachment ni VP Sara at maipadala na ito sa Senado para mag-convene na impeachment court sa ‘full trial’ ng reklamo kahit na hindi lumahok sa pro-votes ang PDP Laban.
