Probable cause sa Sara impeachment tatapusin ngayong Abril

MANILA, Philippines — Target ng House Committee on Justice na i-wrap up na ngayong buwan ang estado ng ‘pro­bable cause‘ sa proseso ng impeachment laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte ngayong Abril at mapagbotohan na ito sa plenaryo sa pagbabalik sesyon ng Kongreso sa Mayo ng taon.

Ito ang inihayag ni Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Keith Flores, Vice Chairman ng Justice panel matapos una nang madetermina na ‘sufficient in form, substance at grounds’ ang impeachment na kaila­ngan bago ito mai-transmit sa Senado para sa ‘full blown’ trial.

Itinakda muli ang pagdinig at inaasahan na ang pagpiprisinta ng mga ebidensya at testigo sa Abril 14, 22 at 29 kung saan ang timeline ay mas maaring umikli pa depende sa maaring maging kaganapan sa proseso.

“Well, if it’s done by the 22nd, the third meeting, or on the 14th, then we could present it before the plenary when it comes back,” saad ni Flores.

Ang Kamara ay naka-recess mula noong Marso 21 hanggang Mayo 3 at magbabalik sesyon sa Mayo 4.

“Under the rules, it says na after determining if there is sufficient grounds, then we have to have a hearing to determine probable cause. So it’s akin to a preliminary investigation,” ani Flores.

“‘Yung definition of session days definitely had to adjust because that was the main contention sa ruling ng Supreme Court so ‘yun lang nagbago. For the rest, we still adopted the same rules that we had ever since,” dagdag ng solon.
