Sobra na! — Sandro pumalag sa tirada ni VP Sara

MANILA, Philippines — Inalmahan ni Presidential Son at Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos ang mga pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na na-imagine nito na pinupugutan ang kaniyang tatay at huhukayin ang labi ni dating pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. para itapon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS). 

Ayon sa batang Marcos, nanahimik siya sa kabila ng mga naunang patutsada ni VP Sara laban sa kaniyang pamilya pero itong pang­huli ay sobra na umano kaya napilitan siyang magsalita na.

“For all this time, I have held my tongue out of res­pect for the Vice President given the mandate she was given and the responsibility which her office holds,” sabi ni House Majority leader Rep. Marcos.

Bilang isang anak, ­sinabi ni Sandro na hindi siya mananahimik na lamang habang pinagbabantaan ang kaniyang ama at lolo. 

“However, as a son, I cannot stay silent while she threatens to exhume a former president and behead an incumbent one. Besides, her bizarre temper tantrum has been condemned by a nation horrified from such displays of insensitivity towards the dead and cruelty to the ­living,” giit ni Sandro.

“Going ballistic was perhaps the self therapy she prescribed for herself,” dagdag pa nito. “But she crossed the line, leaving the civic and civil space in which disagreements can be rationally argued.” 

Iginiit pa ni Sandro na kung tutuusin ay walang masamang sinasabi ang kaniyang ama sa kabila ng masasamang tirada ni VP Sara. Pinigilan din umano siya ng kanyang ama na magsalita kaugnay ng mga nangyari.

“However, one must draw the line at some point and it’s frankly long overdue,” sabi ni Rep. Marcos.

“Forget that the objects of her derisions are dear to me, but I would also be remiss in my res­ponsibility as an llocano representative if I didn’t voice out my disdain at the abhorrent comments she so carelessly uttered. I can ascertain that my emotions are shared not only by my kakailian in the north but across the country,” punto ng presidential son.

Ipinaalala rin ni Sandro ang kahalagahan na mapangalagaan ang mental health at umaasa siya na maayos ang Bise Presidente.

“As such, I still wish the Vice President well. Ultimately, her success, like the President’s, will be the success of our nation as a whole. May she find the peace of mind and mental clarity that seems to be eluding her,” dagdag pa niya.

Si VP Duterte ay nahaharap sa alegasyon ng iregularidad sa paggasta ng milyong pondo ng Confidential and Intelligence Funds (CIFs) ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at DepEd partikular ang P125-M sa loob ng 11 araw noong 2022.
