MANILA, Philippines — Inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang travel tax exemptions para sa mga pasahero mula sa international airport at seaports sa Palawan at Mindanao na patungo sa Brunei, Indonesia at Malaysia.

Batay sa Memorandum Order No. 29 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin noong Agosto 6, layunin nito na mapalakas pa ang economic development sa Mindanao at Palawan.

Hanggang Hunyo 30, 2028 tatagal ang tax exemption maliban na lamang kung babawiin ng Pangulo.

Kasama sa tax exemption ang mga pasahero na mayroong connecting flights mula sa Mindanao at Palawan patungo sa Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area sa loob ng 24 oras.

Maari namang makuha ang Travel Tax ­Exemption Certificate sa Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.
