Marcos hindi rin dadalo sa March 19 Comelec debate
MANILA, Philippines — Pormal nang kinumpirma ng kampo ni presidential candidate at dating Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos ang hindi niya pagdalo sa unang debateng ikakasa ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Sabado.
"I confirm our non-participation in the Comelec sanctioned debate this coming Saturday, March 19, 2022," wika ni Vic Rodriguez, tagapagsalita ni Bongbong, Lunes.
"Presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos’ words are his bond, thus we shall honor our commitment to our supporters to be with them on the field on this day."
Linggo nang sabihin ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez na anim sa mga kandidato na ang nagsumite ng kanilang "written commitment" sa March 19 debates, habang tatlo naman ang nagpaabot ng kanilang "verbal commitment" sa pagpunta sa "Pilipinas Debates 2022: The Turning Point."

Pebrero nang magkaroon ng kalituhan kung sasali si BBM sa una sa tatlong debates na inihahanda ng poll body. Matatandaang sinabi noon ni Jimenez na lahat ay pupunta ngunit binanggit noon ni Rodriguez na ipapaabot pa lang nila ang pinal nilang desisyon hinggil dito.
"We shall continue with our preferred mode of direct communication with the people and engage them in a more personal face to face interaction that discusses real issues that affect them today, tomorrow and in the days to come as this election is all about our collective future," dagdag pa ni Rodriguez.
Matagal nang nababatikos ang kampo ni Marcos sa hindi niya pagdalo sa mga presidential debates at forums gaya na lang ng ginawa niya sa GMA News, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas at CNN Philippines.
Madalas idahilan ng kampo ni Bongbong, anak ng diktador at dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, ang pagkakaroon ng "conflict" sa schedule o pagiging "biased" daw ng mga hosts kung bakit hindi nagpupunta sa mga debate o presidential forums.
