MANILA, Philippines — Payag ang Malacañang na imbestigahan ng United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur ang isyu ng war on drugs ng Duterte administration pero hindi si Agnes Callamard ang dapat na ipadala sa Pilipinas.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, sira ang kredibilidad ni Callamard dahil nagkaroon na siya ng pre-judgement sa anti-drug war ng Pangulo na ibinatay sa hindi beripikadong data at impormasyon.

Inihayag ni Roque ang pangunahing kuwa­lipikasyon ng UN Special Rapporteur ay mapagkakatiwalaan at walang kinikilingan.

Niliwanag ni Roque na kailangan ang consent ng gobyerno bago opisyal na makapasok ang UN Special Rapporteur na magsasagawa ng inbestigasyon.

Dahil anya sa pagi­ging bias ni Callamard ang pangunahing dahilan kaya hindi nagbibigay ng consent ang pamahalaang Pilipinas.

Part of the qualification of a Special Rapporteur is to be trustworthy enough so that a member-nation of the UN will allow a Special Rapporteur to investigate. The fact that there is no way that Agnes Callamard can be allowed to investigate in the Phi­lippines, proves that she has failed in this regard. Philip Alston made it to the Philippines,” giit ni Roque.
