Diskusyon sa construction industry sa December 11

MANILA, Philippines - Gaganapin ang isang roundtable discussion tungkol sa construction industry sa Dec. 11 sa  Telington Hall ng ACB Building ng University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) sa Ortigas Center, Lungsod ng Pasig.

Ang diskusyon ay pangungunahan ni Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson, habang ang ekonomistang si Dr. Bernardo Villegas naman ay magpapaliwanag ukol sa hinaharap ng construction industry.

Ang pagtitipon ay binuo ng UA&P Center for Research and Communication kasama ang Citizens’ Crime Watch (CCW), Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), National Construction Association of the Philippines (NACAP), and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Ang iba pang magsasalita ay sina DPWH Undersecretary Romeo Momo, NACAP president Datu Farouk Macarambon at CCW chairman Jose Malvar Villegas Jr.

Ayon kay Villegas, bilang kasama ng civil society organization ng DPWH sa paglaban sa korupsyon, inumpisahan ng CCW ang roundtable discussion.

Kasabay nito, inilunsad ng CCW sa pangunguna nila CCW Executive Secretary Don Anton de Nieva at CCW Anti-Graft and Corruption Task Force ang  Construction Industry Reform Coordinating Council upang bantayan ang budgeting at procurement ng mga construction supplies sa gobierno.

Ang CIRC ay pinangungunahan ni  Raul Cruz, presidente ng Philippine Chemsteel Industries; Eleno Colinares Jr., kasama sina dating DPWH direktor Farouk Macarambon Sr. at Perla Tablante, secretary.
