2016 National Budget, sinimulan ng busisiin ng Kamara

MANILA, Philippines – Sinimulan ng talakayin sa plenaryo ng Kamara ang panukalang 2016 National Budget para sa susunod na taon.

Pinangunahan ni 3rd district Davao Rep. Isidro Ungab, chairman ng Committee on Appropriations ang pagbubukas ng plenary discussion sa pamamagitan ng sponsorship speech nito sa House Bill 6132 o ang General Appropriations Bill (GAB), na naglalayon na maglaan ng P3.003 trillion budget para sa taong 2016.

Umaasa naman si Ungab na maaaprubahan ang nasabing panukala sa itinakdang oras tulad ng nakagawian na sa nakaraang limang taon.

Paliwanag ng kongresista sa nasabing panukala 15.2 porsiyento o P396 billion a mahigit ng 2015 expenditure program.

Katumbas ito ng 19.5% ng Gross Domestic Product (GDP) mas mataas mula sa 18.7 porsiyento ng GDP nga­yong 2015.

Samantalang ang top 10 departments na may pinakamalaking alokasyon ay ang Department of Education (DepEd) 435.9 billion; Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) P394.5 billion; Department of National Defense (DND) P172.7 billion; Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) P154.5 billion; Department of Health P128.4 billion; Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) P104.2 billion; Department of Agriculture (DA) P93.4 billion; Department of Finance (DOF) P55.3 billion; Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) P49.3 billion; Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) P25.8 billion; at Department of Science and Technology (DOST) P18.6 billion.
