Calamity loans sa sinalanta ni Ruby binuksan ng SSS
MANILA, Philippines – Bukas na ang pintuan ng Social Security System (SSS) para tumanggap ng aplikasyon para sa calamity loan mula sa mga miyembro na sinalanta ng bagyong Ruby.
“This will allow them to avail of salary and housing loans, or get in advance their three-months worth of pensions” pahayag ni SSS Vice President at Officer in Charge for Lending and Asset Management Division May Catherine C. Ciriaco.
Anya, ang mga active members at regular pensioners lamang na nakatira o nagtatrabaho sa mga lugar na naideklarang calamity areas National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ang maaaring mag-loan para rito.
Ang mga lugar na naisailalim sa calamity areas ay ang San Pablo City, Laguna; Batangas; Albay; Camarines Sur; Catanduanes; Masbate; Naga City; Sorsogon City; munisipalidad ng Juban, Gubat, Magallanes in Sorsogon; Northern Samar at Eastern Samar.
“SSS members who are facing short-term cash needs can apply for salary loans with waived service fee. If they have existing loans, they can renew it under the Salary Loan Early Renewal Program (SLERP) as long as they are eligible in terms of contributions based on our regular loan guidelines,” dagdag ni Ciriaco.
Ang mga borrowers na sumailalim sa penalty condonation program ng ahensiya ay maaari ring mag-aplay para sa SLERP.
“The loans will be charged the existing rate of 10 percent annually until fully paid. It is payable for two years and will incur a penalty of one percent per month if not paid on due date,” paliwanag pa ni Ciriaco.
Ang calamity assistance ay bukas din sa mga pensioners kung saan sila ay maaaring makakuha ng advance ng kanilang pension para sa tatlong buwan bastat sila ay magdadala sa SSS ng barangay certificate na sila ay naninirahan sa mga naideklarang calamity areas.
“Members whose houses were damaged by the typhoon can get cash funds from our SSS House Repair and Direct Improvement Loan under this program, which is only offered at six percent per annum, a three-percent decrease from the existing rate,” ayon pa kay Ciriaco.
Hanggang March 31, 2015 ang palugit ng SSS para sa mga miyembro.
