Ports Summit isasagawa bukas

MANILA, Philippines - Nakatakdang isaga­wa bukas ng ilang mga negos­yante kabilang na ang Port Users Confe­deration ang port summit sa layuning mapabuti pa ang mga regulasyon sa cargo handling, traffic management, customs procedures, anti-smuggling initiatives, shipping at ports development.

Ayon kay PUC Chairperson Emeritus Noemi Saludo, ang ports summit na gaganapin sa Manila Hotel bukas mula alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon ay magbibigay ng laya at daan sa business sector gayun­din sa national at city govern­ment na ilahad ang kanilang mga hinaing, problema at posibleng solusyon lalo pa’t handa naman ang mga private sector na masolusyunan ang  problema.

Kabilang sa mga ina­asahang magsasalita ay ang DOTC; Bureau of Customs para sa procedures at anti-smuggling; MMDA sa traffic; PPA para sa port development; ICTSI and Asia Terminals Inc., sa cargo handling; at  ang Association of International Shipping Lines sa shipping regulations.?Bukas din ang Ports Summit sa Philippine Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), American, European, British, Japanese at iba pang foreign business chambers, at panguna­hing grupo na apektado ng ports issues.?Kasama sina Secretary Jose Almendras, ang  Ports Summit ay magbibigay ng maayos na daloy ng  negosyo tungo sa pag-unlad.
