2 UP grad inaresto, di dinukot - AFP

MANILA, Philippines - Inaresto ng Armed Forces of th Philippines (AFP) ang 2 graduate ng University of the Philippines (UP) sa Caranglan, Nueva Ecija taliwas sa naunang ulat na dinukot ang mga ito.

Sinabi ni AFP chief of staff Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. na walang nalabag na anumang karapatang pantao sa inarestong mga UP graduates.

“I think the record will show there were no human rights violations and we did it based on the rule of law and it was a legitimate operations,” wika pa ni Gen. Catapang.

Una rito may hinala ang militanteng grupo na matutulad lamang sa kaso ng UP students na sina Karen Empero at Sheryl Cadapan ang sinapit ngayon ng 2 UP graduates na sina Guillen Cadano ng San Jose del Monte, Bulacan at Gerald Salonga ng Angeles City.

Wika pa ni Catapang, lehitimo ang operasyon at isinilbi lamang ng  703rd Infantry Brigade ng Army ang arrest warrant laban sa isang Ely Taray sa Caranglan, Nueva Ecija noong Sabado at dito din naaresto ang 2 UP grad kung saan ay nahulihan sila ng isang 9 MM, magazine at 19 bala, 2 granada at sari-saring dokumento.

Nanindigan din si CIDG director Benjamin Magalong na legitimate ang operation ng military at pulis kina Cadano at Salonga.
