Panukalang mas mababang buwis suportado ng Palasyo

MANILA, Philippines – Naghayag ng suporta ang Malacañang ngayon Lunes sa mungkahi ni Senador Sonny Angara na babaan ang individual income tax rates.

Gaya ng sinagot ni Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda nap ag-aaralan nila ang naturang panukala ni Angara.

Pero sinabi ni Lacierda na kailangan munang asikasuhin ang mga naunang mungkahing pagreporma sa pagbubuwis.

"Let's just focus first on the tax reform bills that are currently in the pipeline of the legislature. And then next year, let's study and see if there is a need to restructure based on the bill of Senator Angara," wika ni Lacierda.

Sinabi pa ni Lacierda na sana’y maipatupad ito sa administrasyon  Aquino ngunit kaagad kumabig at inaming kinakailangan ito ng masusing pag-aaral.

"Who would not want to pay lower tax? But again we have to balance all interests. That's the only concern of the government," banggit ng tagapagsalita.

Layunin ng panukla ng Senate Bill No. 2149 ni Angara na ibaba ang individual income tax mula 32 percent pababa ng 25 percent sa 2017.

Sinabi ni Angara na naka depende dapat ang halaga ng buwis sa kakayanan ng isang tao makapagbayad nito.
