De Lima ni-nominate na CJ

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi na sasali sa deliberasyon sa pagpili ng susunod na Chief Justice ng Supreme Court si Justice Secretary Leila de lima.

Ito ay dahil sa kabilang na rin ang kalihim sa mga nominado matapos i-nominate siya ni Dante Jimenez, chair at founder ng Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) sa Judicial and Bar Council dahil umano sa sipag nito at talino.

Maliban kay de Lima ilan pa sa nominado para sa SC post ay sina Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Chief Kim Jacinto-Henares, Atty. Katrina Legarda, dating Ateneo Law Dean Cesar Villanueva, Solicitor-General Francis Jardeleza, dating UP Law Dean Raul Pangalangan at dating Laguna Assistant Prosecutor Marianito Sasondocillo.

Awtomatiko namang nominado ang 5 senior associate justices ng SC na sina acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio,Justices Presibitero Velasco Jr., Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, Arturo Brion at Diosdado Peralta.
