23 Humvee ambulance ikakalat sa combat zones

MANILA, Philippines - Umaabot sa 23 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles o Humvee ambulance ang idedeploy ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa mga combat zone areas  sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Sa ginanap na ika-72nd anniversary ng Department of National Defense (DND) sa canopy area ng AFP General Headquarters pormal na itinurnover nina Defense Chief Secretary Voltaire Gazmin at AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Oban Jr., ang 23 Humvee ambulance sa tropa ng Philippine Army at Philippine Marine Corps .

Ayon kay Oban, 19 sa Humvee ambulance ay para sa Philippine Army at apat na units naman ang magagamit ng Philippine Marines na bahagi ng $10M halaga ng medical equiptment and supplies procurement project .

“The goal of the project is to enhance the AFP’s health service support system focusing on the survivability of our combat casualties in the frontlines, providing adequarte and timely medical support,” ani Oban.

Sinabi ni Oban na malaking tulong sa ground operations laban sa mga rebeldeng banta sa seguridad ang mga Humvee ambulance dahilan kaya nitong makabiyahe maging sa mga baku-bakong kalsada sa mga liblib na lugar na kabilang sa mga sentro ng bakbakan o combat zones area.

Inihayag ni Oban na bawat ambulansya ay may mga life support system equiptment para sa mabilisang paglalapat ng first aid sa mga sundalong nasusugatan sa engkuwentro at ng sa gayon ay marami pang buhay ang masagip.
