Pulis hindi exempted sa pagsunod sa helmet law

MANILA, Philippines - Iginiit kahapon ni PNP chief Nicanor Bar­tolome na hindi exemp­ted ang mga pulis sa pagsusuot ng helmet ha­bang nagmomotorsiklo at tumutupad sa kanilang tungkulin.

“We’ve noticed that while our personnel are doing their best to ensure the safety of the riding public, some of our policemen are violating the same laws they’re implementing,”pahayag ni Bartolome.

Kasabay nito, inata­san ni Bartolome si PNP- Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) Director P/Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina na mahigpit na ipatupad ang ‘no helmet, no travel policy’.

Ang direktiba ay ipi­nalabas ni Bartolome ma­tapos matanggap ang mga reklamo na mara­ming mga pulis na lulan ng motorsiklo ang walang suot na helmet gayong naturingan pa ang mga itong tagapagpatupad ng batas.

Nilinaw naman ni Bartolome na nagpapat­rulya man o hindi ay sak­law ng kaniyang direktiba.
