Donasyon sa kalamidad ilibre na sa tax - Arroyos

MANILA, Philippines - Kailangan umanong bigyan ng tax relief ang mga lugar na sinalanta ng kalamidad bilang tulong sa mga naapektuhang mamamayan dito.

Sa ilalim ng House bill 5104 na inihain ng mag-inang Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at Camarines Sur Rep. Datu Arroyo, gagawing tax free ang mga donasyon na ibibigay sa mga sinalantang lugar. Mayroon umanong mga donor na nagdadalawang-isip na tumulong dahil magbabayad pa sila ng donor’s tax.

“While donors can avail of tax exemption, the stiff accreditation requirements, however, became a deterrent to their donation or aid,” ani Gng. Arroyo. “The objective of the bill is to address all these concerns by allowing tax exemption of donations as long as a state of calamity is declared by the proper Sanggunian and regardless of the nature of business of the donee organization so as not to hamper funds from coming in,” wika pa niya.

Kasama rin sa panukala ang hindi paniningil ng real property tax sa mga apektadong lugar.
