ARMM polls hindi na mahaharang - Nene Pimentel

- Butch M. Quejada -

“They need to first amend the ARMM Organic Law and subject it to a plebiscite. That is the process and the ARMM Organic Law was adopted only after it was subjected to a plebiscite,” dagdag pa ni Pimentel.

“That would be difficult for them since they cannot hold a plebiscite before election. There is no time,” dagdag pa ni Pimentel.

“I don’t agree with the concept of synchronized polls. That means the government—Comelec, AFP, PNP—as well as electoral watch dogs, will lose their focus. This election will be a golden opportunity for us to monitor the election process in ARMM to ensure that it is clean and fair,” paliwanag pa ni Pimentel.
