NAIA babalasahin dahil kay Singson

MANILA, Philippines - Malaki ang posibilidad na magkaroon ng major revamp sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) matapos maaresto si Ilocos Sur 1st District Rep. Ronald Singson sa Hongkong.

Sinabi ni Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, mayroong malaking pagbabago sa mga personnel sa NAIA matapos itong tanungin kung paano makakalabas ng nasabing paliparan ang Kongresista ng hindi napansin ang illegal na droga gayung inamin ng airport authorities na dumaan si Singson sa normal procedure.

Si Singson ay naaresto ng Customs arrival hall sa Chek Lap Kok International Airport noong July 11 dahil sa pag-iingat ng 26.1 gramo ng cocaine at 2 tableta ng diazepam o valium.

Nauna nang itinalaga ni de Lima si Justice Under­ secretary Jose Vicente Salazar bilang officer in charge ng Bureau of immigration (BI) at inatasan din na siyang mamuno sa pag-iimbestiga kung bakit nakalabas si Singson ng bansa na hindi nakikita ang naturang droga.
