Recto nagbitiw sa NEDA

MANILA, Philippines - Nagbitiw sa kanyang tungkulin bilang director-general ng National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) si Secretary Ralph Recto.

Nagsumite ng kanyang irrevocable resignation si Sec. Recto kay Pangulong Arroyo.

Idinahilan ni Recto sa kanyang pagbibitiw bilang Gabinete ni Pangulong Arroyo ay upang paghandaan ang kanyang pagtakbong senador sa darating na May 2010 elections.

Kinumpirma naman ni NEDA deputy-director general Rolando Tungpalan ang pagbibitiw ni Recto na epektibo simula sa Agosto 16.

Magugunita na nag karoon ng magkaibang paniniwala sina Sec. Recto at Energy Sec. Angelo Reyes kaugnay sa sobra-sobrang presyo ng mga oil companies sa kanilang produkto. (Rudy Andal)
