Hiniling kahapon ni Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group (PASG) chief Undersecretary Antonio Villar Jr. sa mga local officials na palakasin ang kampanya laban sa illegal drugs.
Ito ay matapos na masakote ng PASG ang record-breaking na P7.5B halaga ng illegal drugs sa Subic.
Sinabi ni Usec. Villar, ang nakumpiskang P15 bilyong illegal drugs ng PASG, PNP at PDEA noong nakaraang taon ay itinuturing pa lang nilang “tip of the ice berg”.
“I believe there are more illegal drugs out there. The amount of illegal drugs seized last year may just be a portion of a larger shipment from international drug syndicates who may have attempted to use the country as either the dumping ground or transshipment point for their illegal product,” dagdag pa ni Villar.
