5 pang Magdalo umaming guilty

Lima pang junior officers na nililitis sa kasong 2003 Oakwood mutiny sa General Court Martial (GCM) ang bumaligtad at umaming guilty sa tangkang pagpa­ pa­bagsak sa pamahalaan. 

Ayon kay military prosecutor Col. Pedro Herrera-Davila, binawi nina First Lieutenants Lawrence San Juan, Sonny Sarmiento at Nathaniel Rabonza, at 2nd Lieutenants Jason Panali­gan ng Army at Christopher Orongan ng Air Force ang naunang “not guilty” plea at inamin ang paglabag sa Articles of War (AW) 96 conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman na may parusang “dishonorably discharge” sa serbisyo.

Naghain rin ng guilty sa paglabag naman sa AW 97 conduct prejudicial to good order and military discipline, AW 96, AW 63 (disrespect toward the President, Vice President, members of the Congress and the Secretary of National Defense) at AW 64 (disrespect to a superior office) at AW 67 (mutiny o sedisyon) sina Pana­ligan at Orongan. 

Nitong Miyerkules ay binawi rin ng 9 na lider ng Magdalo sa kanilang pag­harap sa Makati City RTC ang nauna nilang not guilty plea at umamin sa kasala­nan. Kabilang sa siyam sina Army Captains Gerardo Gambala at Milo Maestre­campo. (Joy Cantos)
