Tirada nina Jamby at JDV vs PGMA, below-the-belt na

Ikinalungkot ng Pa­lasyo ang below-the-belt na pagbatikos nina dating House Speaker Jose de Venecia at Sen. Jamby Madrigal laban sa pag­katao ni Pangulong Arroyo.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman at Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye, isang desperadong hak­bang ang ginagawang panlalait nina Sen. Jamby at Rep. de Venecia sa Pangulo nang tawagin ng senadora na “tiyanak” si Mrs. Arroyo sa isang pagtitipon sa University of the Philippines habang pinasaringan naman ni JDV na walang utang na loob o “ungrateful” si PGMA.

“It is most sad when political opponents take to lowering themselves to this level of desperation, casually flinging around words like these, as if they have a monopoly of virtue and everyone else has the opposite,” wika ni Sec. Bunye.

Idinagdag pa ni Bun­ye, hindi naman maitu­turing na perpekto si Pangulong Arroyo subalit doble-kayod ito sa pag­tatrabaho araw-araw upang maabot lamang natin ang positibo at lasting change.

“She helped create 7 million jobs and bring in billions of dollars in new foreign investment. Unemployment is down, the incidence of hunger is down while access to healthcare and a good education are up,” pali­wanag pa ni Bunye. (Rudy Andal)
