Sa isinumiteng comment ng PNP kaugnay sa urgent motion ni Estrada, sinabi ni Director for Police Security and Protection Office (PSPO) P/Supt. Romeo Hilomen na hindi sila tutol sa mosyon ng dating pangulo.
"However, the duration of the visit shall only from 8am to 5pm on December 25," ani Hilomen.
Naghain ng mosyon si Estrada sa Sandiganbayan Special Division kung saan hiniling nito na makalabas mula Dis. 24-26 at sa Bagong Taon Dis. 31-Enero 2.
Pero sa dalawang pahinang comment ng PNP, hindi ito pabor sa kahilingan ni Estrada na lumabas sa New Year.Ikinatwiran ng PNP na kailangan nilang paghandaan ang 12th ASEAN Summit sa Enero 2007.
"The PNP does not have the luxury of time to prepare the needed security arrangement for the former president, much less have the required number of personnel who could provide him with round the clock security while out of detention and on extended holiday visit," anang PNP.
Ngayong araw na ito inaasahang dedesisyunan ng korte ang mosyon ni Estrada. (Malou Escudero)
