ISAFP pinaimbestigahan sa wiretapping

Iniutos kahapon ni AFP chief of staff Generoso Senga ang imbestigasyon sa Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) kaugnay ng "Hello Garci" scandal noong 2004 elections.

Ayon kay Col. Tristan Kison, public information chief ng AFP, mayroon nang ginagawang imbestigasyon sa ISAFP upang malaman kung mayroong naganap na wiretapping activity.

"That’s precisely the focus of the investigation, to find out whether or not there was wiretapping. If ever there was, which unit did it," wika pa ni Col. Kison.

Sinabi ni Kison, kabilang sa sumailalim sa imbestigasyon ay si T/Sgt. Vidal Doble na inakusahang nagbenta umano ng wiretapped taped sa halagang P2 milyon sa kampo ni Atty. Samuel Ong.

"Sgt. Doble is the primary character. Therefore, his statement is very important," dagdag pa ng AFP public information chief.

Maging si dating ISAFP chief Rear Admiral Tirso Danga ay nakatakdang kuwestyunin din ni ISAFP chief B/Gen. Mario Quevedo upang malinawan ang isyu.

Sinabi naman ni Presidential Spokesman at Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye na hindi makikialam ang Palasyo sa isyung ito bagkus ay ipauubaya sa AFP ang pag-iimbestiga dito. (Joy Cantos/Lilia Tolentino)
