Motivating people at work
To them, may their tribe increase.
And to those nga nagdawatan og dagku kaayo’g sweldo ug mga allowances and privileges, we expect of them paramount public duty and supreme civic devotion.
Anyway, sa atong tema, how do we motivate people at work? Matud dinhi, “Practically, management is simply handling people at work. Handling them well (dili isipon nga mga sulogoon), and motivate them properly.”
Unsaon man? Padayon: “To reach them, listen to them first,” unsay ilang mga grievances, or aspirations; unsay ilang mga sugyot (tingali mas bright pa sila kay sa ubang mga executives), after all, in any establishment, it is always two-way. Dili kay ang tanan magagikan lang sa itaas, as if sila ra ang kamao.
“Listening to them would inculcate in them the sense of belonging. Let them feel important and part of the organization.
This alone already motivates them (ambut kon ma-apply ba kini sa mga buhatan sa gobiyerno, nga largely dominated by politicians).
Anyway, sa mga private entities or otherwise, anaa ra sa management mismo, ang kaakohan, o responsibilidad unsaon pag-motivate sa ilang mga employees.
Aniay mga insights ug perceptions sa google, pag-motivate sa mga empleyado: 1) Recognize contributions consistently, acknowledge a job well done through direct praise or public recognition. Importante kaayo ni, perhaps na-overlooked kini sa management. Maka-increase sa morale ug loyalty sa mga employees, tungod kay gi-value ug gi-recognized and ilang accomplishment:
2) Communicate a clear vision and end goals ug unsaon pag-achieve niini. In the case sa DPWH, pananglitan, unsa man gayud ang tumong sa ilang buhatan, aron, amomg others, ma-control na ang flooding ug pagdahili sa yuta?
3) Or in case sa Department of Agriculture, unsa man gayud ang ilang goals and objectives, aron maself sufficient na kita sa rice production?
Here is a short guide on practical leadership techniques to boost team engagement and motivation: “Effective leadership relies on clear communication, genuine empathy, active listening, and empowering your team.”
Pagpaminaw, dili kay ikaw ra ang kanunay ang nagtabi, as if ang imong mga subordinates walay igong kaalam, wisdom, ug competence.
Ania ang giingon nga Core pillars of effective leadership: “Lead by example; Communicate clearly; Empower and delegate; Practice empathy (understanding & feeling other’s feeling); Make timely decisions; Own mistakes, ayaw ipasa ngadto sa uban ang imong mga mistakes;
Dugang pa, “A good leader should have integrity, being consistent, honest, moral, and trustworthy. He should also possess the fallowing qualities: Courage, Resilience, Respect, Vision, learning agility, Communication, Collaboration, Influence, and gratitude.
Unsay imong tan-aw sa imong kaugalingon, are you a good and effective leader? Nalipay ba, uban kanimo ang lungsod?
