Tim Yap nagbalik sa kapuso
Certified kapuso na ulit si Tim Yap matapos siyang pumirma ng kontrata sa Sparkle.
Naganap ang pirmahan ng kontrata noong March 18, with GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo in attendance.
Mainit na tinanggap si Tim sa talent arm ng GMA 7, kung saan tinawag siya ni Ms. Joy na “spark” na matagal na nilang hinahanap. Pinuri niya ang impluwensya ni Tim, na naniniwalang maaari siyang magbigay ng inspirasyon at magturo sa mga batang artista.
Samantala, inalala naman ni Ms. Anette ang paglalakbay ni Tim kasama ang GMA, na kinikilala ang kanyang mga nagawa.
Para kay Tim, parang isang makabuluhang pag-uwi ang naganap :
“I’ve been such a fan of GMA since I was a kid. I would watch the shows. And I’m the seventh of seven. So that alone, seven has been a lucky and magical number for me,” Tim reminisced.
“And now that it’s the GMA 75th year, I’m so honored and humbled to be back in this building to build new memories with you guys,” dagdag niya.
Maalalang Tim hosted The Tim Yap Show from 2013 to 2015, co-hosted Miss Universe Philippines 2024, and even tried his hand at acting in the Philippine adaptation of Start-Up in 2022.
Ngayon, nagbabalik siya sa telebisyon na may mas malalaking plano.
“For my personal goals for my career, I want to continue hosting more and do more television. I told Joy (Marcelo) that this year is like my big TV comeback,” Tim said.
Ibinahagi rin niya ang kanyang kasabikan sa pagtanggap ng higit pang mga proyekto sa TV sa taong ito at binanggit kung paano sa tuwing sila ay magkakasama, creative ideas flow, birthing new collaborations and fresh concepts.
“I’m excited to put these concepts into provision,” he declared. “I’m excited to make it happen.”
Pahayag naman ni Ms. Annette : “I think hindi magiging complete ‘yung character of Tim in the entertainment industry without him also appearing in entertainment shows not just as a host, but also in acting. So that’s one of the projects that you can look out for this year. We are going to have Tim in one of our drama shows.”
