Brillantes kinahanglang magpabilin sa Comelec
CEBU, Philippines - Nag-awhag si Team P.Noy senatorial candidate Edgardo “Sonny†Angara ngadto kang Commission on Elections Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. nga iyang i-reconsider ang iyang plano nga mo-resign.
“Chairman Brillantes should remain as Comelec head. He is on top of things and most of the major preparations for this election season. There are elections matters that he is the master of,†matud pa ni Angara sa iyang press release nga gipadala sa Banat News. Sayo niini, si Brillantes nihulga nga mo- resign human ang Korte Suprema nipakanaug og desisyon nga status quo ante (SQA) order kabahin sa rules sa Comelec diin gilimitahan ang airtime alang sa mga political advertisements.
Matud pa ni Angara nga ang pagbalhin sa liderato sa Comelec karong panahuna, dili kini makaayo sa poll body ug democratic processes.
“There would be major adjustments and transition pains should he resign. Our hope is that he does not and that he puts on hold any resignation plan until after the election is over,†dungag pa ni Angara.
Si Angara moanhi karong adlawa sa Sugbo uban kang Presidente Benigno Aquino III alang sa tulo ka mga rallies nga ipahigayon sa mga siyudad sa Bogo, Toledo ug Cebu.
Midungag si Angara nga naglibog usab ang mga kandidato karon kung unsa nga balaod ilang tumanon, ang karaan ba nga balaod o ang bag-ong balaod.
