4Ps registration for potential beneficiaries in CV continues
CEBU, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) continues the registration of potential beneficiaries under Sets 14D and 14E of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) across the region this July.
The registration is being conducted simultaneously by 4Ps city and municipal links in coordination with local government units to ensure the orderly processing of families identified as potential beneficiaries.
A total of 57,015 families have been targeted for registration, including 12,408 families in Bohol and 44,607 families in Cebu. These families are being considered as replacement households for beneficiaries who have already exited or graduated from the program after achieving improved levels of well-being or completing the assistance provided under Republic Act No. 11310, or the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Act.
DSWD-7 Director Shalaine Marie Lucero said in a statement that the registration reflects the government’s continuing commitment to extend assistance to other eligible poor families through a fair and data-driven selection process guided by the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
During the registration, potential beneficiaries undergo document verification, household data validation, and enrollment procedures to determine their eligibility for the program.
Those who complete the process also attend an orientation on the program’s objectives, benefits, conditionalities, and compliance requirements before taking the Oath of Commitment.
The department emphasized that inclusion in the registration list does not automatically guarantee admission to the 4Ps, as all applicants remain subject to document verification, household validation, and compliance with the program’s eligibility requirements.
Meanwhile, newly registered beneficiaries under Sets 14A, 14B, and 14C have been advised to coordinate with their respective 4Ps city and municipal links for updates on the schedule of their first Family Development Session (FDS), which covers topics on responsible parenthood, health and nutrition, education, disaster preparedness, financial literacy, and family development.
The ongoing registration is being implemented under DSWD-7’s HAPSAY approach, or Harmonized Actions and Processes for Swift, Accountable Yield, a frontline service initiative that streamlines the intake process for new beneficiaries through a systematic and client-centered registration procedure.
DSWD-7 further said the continued registration activities aim to ensure that government assistance reaches eligible poor and near-poor families while sustaining the continuity of the 4Ps through the replacement of households that have successfully transitioned out of the program .(CEBU NEWS)
