Comprehensive World Cup buildup for Filipinas set

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Football Federation has arranged an intensive buildup that will bring the Filipinas to four continents in the 10 months leading to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
The journey will start at the Asian Games in Japan in September, where the troops of coach Mark Torcaso will test their skills against the continent’s best.
From there, the Pinay booters will have camps and matches in every FIFA window, including a trip to South America in October, friendlies against Asia-Oceania opposition in November and December, at the Pinatar Cup in Spain in February and the home-and-away Olympic Qualifying Tournament in April.
They will then cap the preparations with a four-to-six-week camp in South America before plunging into action in the June 25 to July 25 global showpiece.
