School opening sa mga public schools gitakda sa Hunyo 8
CEBU, Philippines — Gipahibawo ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara nga ang opening sa school year 2026-2027 sa publikong tunghaan gitakda sa Hunyo 8 nonot sa pagpatuman na sa Department of Education sa three-term school calendar.
Gipirmahan ni Angara ang DepEd Order No. 009, Series 2026 niadtong Abril 16, nga naghatag og giya sa implementasyon sa three-term school year.
Suma pa niya nga ang SY 2026-2027 pormal nga mobukas sa Lunes, Hunyo 8 ug matapos sa Huwebes, Abril 8, 2027.
Kini manglangkub sa 201 class days, gikan sa unang adlaw sa Term 1 hangtud sa last day sa Term 3. Ang adjustments sa school calendar gumikan sa dili matagna nga panghitabo ang himoon pinaagi sa dugang mga pahibawo.
Gipasabot ni Angara nga ang pagsagop sa three-term school calendar magsuporta sa dugang kahibawo sa mga tinun-an ug maghatag og taas ug mas flexible nga instructional periods, ug makaminus sa non-teaching-related tasks sa mga magtutudlo.
“Ultimately, this reform aims to strengthen the quality of instruction and advance improved and more equitable learning outcomes for all learners,” suma pa ni Angara.
Samtang ang private schools, state and local universities ug colleges mahimong mo adopt sa three-term school calendar sa basic education. “Notwithstanding such adoption, these schools shall abide by the required number of class days and the opening of the school year… from 200 days to not more than 220 class days,” segun pa ni Angara.
