Kapitolyo mo establisar sa PEdS alang sa education crisis

CEBU, Philippines — Si Gobernador Pamela Baricuatro niluwat og kamandoan sa pag-establisar og Provincial Education Secretariat (PEdS) aron masolusyonan ang ang education crisis sa probinsya.

Kini human nasayran base sa Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA) sa Second Congressional on Education (EDCOM II) nga daghan sa mga tinun-an sa elementarya ang dili pa gihapon kabasa o dili pa makasabot sa ilang gibasa nga yanong mga sentence o paraghraps.

Base sa Executive Order No. 10 nga giluwatan ni Baricuatro kagahapon nga ang PEdS magsilbi kini nga sentro sa koordinasyon, pagplano ug pagpatuman sa mga education-related programs, projects ug polisiya sa Probinsiya sa Sugbo.

Ang PEdS maoy motabang sa Provincial School Board nga mapaspasan ang pagpatuman sa interventions aron mapalambo ang literacy o ang pagbasa ug pagsabot sa mga tinun-an.

 Apil sa mga tutokan niini ang basic education, early childhood development, technical-vocational training, higher educational support ug lifelong learning initiatives.

“I’m hoping nga mahimo ning ordinance ang atong education office. Unta sa matag LGU, naa siya’y education office because I believe there is an education crisis here in the province”, matud ni Baricuatro kinsa niawhag sa hunta probinsiyal nga mopasar og ordinansa aron masiguro nga molungtad ang maong opisina. Alang kang Baricuatro nga ang literacy gap sa mga tinun-an sa probinsiya konektado usab sa malnutrition.

Ang PedS magsilbi usab kini nga technical ug administrative arm sa provincial board nga maoy motan-aw sa pagpalno ug paggamit sa Special Education Fund (SEF), pagsiguro nga mosubay kini sa regulasyon sa national ug mapatuman ang mga programa sa literacy, nutrisyon, scholarships, ug academic recovery.
