Nag-post og "fake" news gikasohan

CEBU, Philippines — Usa ka taga Mandaue ang gipasakaan og kaso sa National Bureau of Investigation-7 tungod sa paglapas sa Republic Act 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 gumikan sa matud pa pag-post og mga bakak nga impormasyon diha sa social media.

Ang gikasohan sa NBI-7 niadtong Abril 10, 2025 mao ang usa ka  Redmon Colina nga taga barangay Centro,  Mandaue City tungod sa matud pa "Computer-related Forgery" nga gidili ubos sa Sec. 4(b)(1) sa Cybercrime law, ug Sec. 4(c)(4) o "cyber libel."

Sumala pa sa NBI-7, si Colina mi-post og daghang mga pagpangdaut nga mga mensahe ug mga hulagway ubos sa pangalan nga Redmon Colina diha sa Facebook Page nga Mandaue Politics.

Matud pa sa iyang mga post gipuntariya niini si Mandaue City Lone District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon.

Usa sa matud pa malisyoso ug hinimo-himong post nga gipagawas nga gikan kang Ouano-Dizon nag-ingon: "KUNG WALA MO NALIPAY SA 20 MILLION NGA SKYWALK AYAW MO UG AGI DIHA. PARA RA NA SA MGA MANDAUEHANON NGA KAHIBAW MO APPRECIATE SA AKONG PROJECT.”

Gikatahong gipakatap kini sugod niadtong Marso 13, 2025 ug daghan ang nakabasa niini sa social media. Ang post matud pa nigamit sa official seal sa House of Representatives ug hulagway ni Kongresista Quano-Dizon.

Si Ouano-Dizon kusganong nihimakak nga nagpagawas siya niini nga pamahayag ug mihulagway nga ang tumong sa maong post mao ang paglingla sa katawhan ug gub-on ang iyang imahe ug reputasyon.

Gibutyag sa NBI -7 nga nipatim-aw na si Colina ug iyang abogado diha sa ilang buhatan ug matud pa giangkon niini nga siya maoy tagiya sa maong FB account ug nag-post niini didto.

 “This is to deter the widespread proliferation of disinformation on social media platforms, for the protection of the public from criminal activities associated with the use of the internet,” dugang pa niya.

“Ang akong pagduso sa NBI aron ma-imbistigahan is proof nga gusto ta mo-follow the process. I will leave it to the proper authorities kung unsa ang sunod mahitabo,” matud pang Ouano-Dizon.

 “Mo respeto ta sa opinion sa tanan, bisan pa ang pagpanaway.  Pero kani iyang gibuhat, dili ni opinion. Naghimo siya og fake news and spread it as the truth aron madaot ko.  Kung adunay balaod nga nalapas, one should be willing to take responsibility for it and face the consequences sa iyang kalapasan sa balaod,” puno pa niya.

Si Colina sa iyang bahin miingon igo ra niyang naagian ang maong post ug gatuo siya nga gikan gyud kini kang Ouano-Dizon,

 “I just encountered this post in FB and I thought it was a genuine post from her because it had her name and it looked official. Being a Mandauehanon, I was personally affected by the way the post dismissed the legitimate concern of the tax payers because, as tax payers, we all have the right to question any government project especially ones that are clearly overpriced as compared to others. If this statement is indeed fake or not true, then, maayo, but if it is, then I just hope that this kind of dismissive mindset is not something that will disrupt the transparency and accountability that we all hope for in our government officials, that is if she will still win in this election,” matud pang Colina sa The Freeman.
