Opisyales sa MCIAA ug consortium gikasohan

Cebu, Philippines — Mga opisyal sa Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) gipasakaan og kaso sa National Bureau of Investigation tungod sa matud pa paglapas sa Anti-Dummy Law.

Ang gipasakaan og kaso mao silang MCIAA General Manager ug Chief Executive Steve Dicdican lakip na ang 15 ka opisyal sa usa ka  consortium tungod sa paglapas sa Konstitusyon ug Anti-Dummy Law.

Kini tungod matud pa paghatag sa concession deal sa maong consortium nga gidominahan sa mga langyaw sumala pa sa post sa National Bureau of Investigation kaniadtong Biyernes, Disyembre 4, 2020.

Kauban ni Dicdican nga gipasakaan og kaso ngadto sa Prosecutor General sa Department of Justice mao ang mga opisyal sa GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corp. (GMCAC) lakip ang upat ka mga opisyal nga Pilipino ug 11 ka mga foreign national officials.

Ang upat nga opisyal nga Pilipino gilangkuban nila Manuel Louie Ferrer; Edgar Saavedra; Oliver Tan; ug JZ Dela Cruz. Samtang ang 11 ka langyaw mao sila si Srivinas Bommidala; P. Sripathy; Vivek Singhai; Andrew Acquaah-Harrison; Ravi Bhatnagar; Ravishankar Saravu; Michael Lenane; Sudarshan MD; Kumar Gaurav; Magesh Nambiar; ug Rajesh Madan.

Gipasakaan sila og kaso sa NBI Anti-Fraud Division (NBI-AFD) sa kalapasan sa Section 2-A sa Commonwealth Act No. 108 kun Anti-Dummy Law.

Gawas sa DOJ, gipasakaan usab og kaso si Dicdican sa Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) tungod sa paglapas sa Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials ingon man ang Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Matud ni NBI Officer-in-Charge Eric Distor, naggumikan ang reklamo bahin sa paghatag sa operasyon ug pagdumala sa Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) ngadto sa GMCAC ubos sa 25 ka-tuig nga concession human nakadaog sa bid nga P14.4 bilyon.

Ang GMCAC usa ka consortium taliwala sa Megawide Construction Corporation nga gilakip ilawom sa Philippine Laws ug sa GMR Group nga usa ka kompanya nga gipang-iya sa foreigner.

“The complainant added that based on the evidence, the MCIA is operated, administered, and managed by non-Filipinos more particularly by an Irish, a Ghanaian and several Indians who have profound control, enjoyment, and control over a Philippine public utility, with a knowledge and approval of the Filipino officers of MCIAA and GMCAC among whom are the subjects Dicdican, Saavedra, Ferrer, Tan, and Cruz,” sumala pa sa NBI.

Basi sa Anti-Dummy Law, silotan ang bisan kinsa nga makalapas sa foreign equity restrictions diin 60% sa kompanya ang kinahanglan gipanag-iya sa usa ka Pilipino.

Sa gipagawas nga press release sa Megawide, gihimakak niini ang mga alegasyon nga gilapas sa kompanya ang balaod sa pagkig-partner niini sa GMR Group.

“Megawide and GMR honor the trust of the Filipino public and reject all baseless allegations. We will answer them in the proper fora and we will respond to such attempts to malign our reputation with full and credible legal action,” said the company in a statement on December 2.

Ang Megawide-GMR miingon nga nagsunod sila sa mga balaod, regulasyon, patakaran sa gobiyerno.

“As widely-held, publicly listed companies, Megawideand GMR strictly adhere to pertinent laws, rules, and regulations, including those relating to p bidded by the Philippine National Government. We have done so at the MCIA and we will continue to do so for the rehabilitation and transformation of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA),” dugang nilang pamahayag. ( BANAT NEWS)
