Agila gi-turn over sa CENRO sa Naga
CEBU, Philippines — Usa ka Philippine Serpent Eagle ang gi-turnover ngadto sa City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) sa Dakbayan sa Naga niadtong Oktubre 5, 2020. Ang nag-turnover sa maong agila sila si Tomasa Repollo ug Rochelle Denotol gikan sa Sitio Suba, Barangay Tuyan sa nahisgtuang siyudad.
Matud ni Wynser Pañoso, environment management specialist sa siyudad nga ang maong agila aduna kini higot sa tuo nga tiil ang nitugpa diha sa atop sa balay ni Repollo niadtong Domingo sa hapon.
"The Philippine Serpent Eagle is found in the major islands of the Philippines mostly in Luzon and Mindanao except Palawan. This bird is usually found in forest clearings, open woodlands, and sometimes in cultivated lands with scattered trees. Although they are listed as least concern species by Bird Life International, they are also threatened due to habitat loss", tipik sa post sa facebook page sa Dakbayan sa Naga.
Si Pañoso nagkanayon nga ubos sa Akta Republika 9147 kun “Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act” nagdili kini sa mga tawo nga magbuhi sa maong matang sa agila diha sa ilang panimalay.
Gituohan nga ang maong agila nakabuhi kini gikan sa nagbuhi niini tungod kay aduna kini higot sa tiil. Dugang ni Pañoso nga wala nila masuta ang gender sa maong agila hinuon anaa kini sa maayong kondisyon.
