Protesta sa PALEA gilibkas

CEBU, Philippines - Gilibkas na sa Philippine Airlines-Employees Union (PALEA) ang ilang duha ka tuig kapin nga protesta batok sa PAL management.

Matud pa ni Gerry Rivera, ang presidente sa PALEA nga ila nang gi-demolish ang ilang picket line sa airport sa Mactan-Cebu kagahapong adlawa human  makab-ot   ang  usa ka "settlement agreement" ang unyon ug ang management.

"This is a victory for both the union and management. This is also a victory for the labor sector in general which serves as a reminder that security of tenure of an employee is very important as human being, who should be treated with dignity and a partner in the business development, not just a commodity", matud pa ni Rivera nga nahinabi sa Banat News.

Sayo  niini, mipahigayon og nationwide protest ang PALEA kaniadtong 2011 human i-implementar sa management ang kontraktwalisasyon   system  sa  mga  kawani.

Adunay 2,600 ka mga trabahante sa PAL ang nawagtangan og regular nga trabaho. Sa 2,600 ka mga empleyado nga gipanaktak, 600 niini gibalhin ngadto sa mga service providers, adunay 1,500 kapin ang midawat og separation benefit ug ang 600 niini nagpabilin sa ilang protesta.

"The 600 remaining employees, as part of our settlement agreement shall retire with an assurance to be rehired in a regular position," dugang pa ni Rivera. (/WC)(BANAT NEWS)
