US-JR ROTC champion sa speech contest

CEBU, Philippines - Ang garbo sa University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) ROTC Unit nga si Cdt. Irish Cañada 3rd class ang migawas nga kampiyon sa gipahigayong Regional PA ROTC Speech Contest niadtong miaging Domingo didto sa USJ-R Auditoriom, Basak Campus, ning siyudad.

Sa wala pa sugdi ang kompetisyon, usa una ka opening ceremony ang gipahigayon sa pagpangulo sa Chairman of the Board of Judges nga gilangkuban nila ni Ms.Gloria Cortez Mialala-Balatero M.A.V.E, MSgt John Rey Saavedra sa Banat News og MSht Rita Vinus Grafe (WAC) PA of Training and Doctrine Command Phil. Army.

Si Cañada mao ang gibayaw nga kampiyon sa maong speech competition nga gisalmutan sa pito ka laing mga cadets gikan sa tulo ka probinsiya sa rehiyon 7 nga naglakip sa Cebu, Bohol ug Negros.

Gawas ni Cañada, laing USJ-R cadet nga si Cdt. Elinore Jean Malagar 3rd class mao usab ang first runner up, samtang mipahiluna sa second runner up si Cdt Mary Claire Durango 4th class sa Silliman ROTC Unit.

Ang mga partisipante nakadawat og certificate of participation gikan sa Group Commander sa 7th Regional Community Defense Group, ARESCOM, samtang ang mga mananaug nakadawat og ganting salapi uban ang usa ka plaque of recognition.

Si Cañada mao ang morepresentar sa rehiyon 7 alang sa umaabot nga National speech competition.

Gawas sa speech competition, lakip sa mga kalihukan sa Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Advocacy Program uban sa 7th Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command nga nagbase sa Central Command ug Armed Forces of the Philippines mao ang 10th Regional Philippine Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Pistol and Rifle Shooting Competition diha sa Kamagong Range, CENTCOM, AFP Camp Lapulapu, ning siyudad.

Si Cdt. Pvt Christian Labesores, 4th class sa Negros Oriental State University-Bais ROTC Unit mao ang mipatigbabaw sa 18 ka mga cadet nga misalmot sa Cal 5.56 M16 Rifle, gisundan siya nila ni Cdt. Maj. Jierald Abay 1st class sa Talisay City College ROTC ug Cdt. Pvt. Ronald Cesar, 4th class sa Bohol Institute of Technology ROTC Unit isip first ug second runner up.

Subling midaog si Cdt. Pvt. Cesar dihang siya maoy mikampiyon sa Cal 22 category, samtang sila si Labesores ug Cdt. Pvt . Jesrael Natasi 4th class sa St.Paul University Dumaguete ROTC Unit ang mipwesto sa una ug ikaduhang luna.

Alang sa Cal.45 pistol category, si Cdt. Allan Bryan Barajon 4th class sa Bohol Institute of Technology ROTC Unit mao ang migawas nga kampiyon uban sa iyang mga runner-ups nga sila si Cdt.Maj.
