Del Rosario: 'Pinas handang magtanggol sa sarili

Pilipino Star Ngayon

"The Philippine is investing in own defense at levels never before seen, but we understand clearly that we can increase the value of these investments through joint training and other agreed activities with our allies, and defend ourselves we will," pahayag ni Del Rosario sa opening ceremonies ng joint training.

"And this week I met with both [US] Secretary of the State John Kerry and Department of Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in Washington and in all these discussions both side have reiterated their firm commitments as strategic partners and treaty allies," sabi ni Del Rosario.

"The United Nations has identified our region as the most prone to natural disasters. It is significant that there is again a strong humanitarian assistance and disaster response component to this year’s Balikatan," sabi ng kalihim ng DFA.
