MMDA magpapadala ng tropa sa Compostela

MANILA, Philippines - Inihayag ngayong Huwebes ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na magpapadala ito ng elite rescue teams sa Compostela Valley na pinakamatinding binayo ng bagyong Pablo.

Sinabi ni MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino na tutulong ang mg tauhan ng ahensya sa rescue at retrieval operations sa mga lugar na winasak ng bagyo.

"These personnel are capable and have been on similar operations before in Bulacan, Iligan and Cagayan De Oro last year," sabi ni Tolentino.

Bubuuin ng tropa ang mga tauhan mula sa Road Emergency Group at Public Safety office, karamihan ay mga trained rescue staff nurses, at medical services assistants.

Bukod sa mga tauhan, magpapadala din ang MMDA ng dalawang toneladang water purifier upang matugunan ang agarang pangangailangan ng malinis na tubig, special search cameras, medical kits, basic tools at rescue kits, tents at generator sets.

"MMDA is ready and willing to help anytime, anywhere. Our services are not limited to Metro Manila alone," sabi ng tagapangulo ng ahensya.
