Tasked with coordinating coverage and with overseeing special reports and series, he has helped steer the newsroom towards more contextual and inclusive reporting.

On top of his duties as editor, he also covers the Philippine National Police, labor and workplace issues, and dissent and democratic space. 

He is a member and is chairperson of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines.
