TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines – Re-electionist Representative Aris Aumentado (2nd district, Bohol) on Monday was the first to file a certificate of candidacy at the Comelec provincial office.
Aumentado was accompanied by his loyal supporters, Bien-Unido town Mayor Niño Rey Boniel and wife Gisel, San Isidro Mayor Jacinto Naraga, Talibon Vice Mayor Epifanio Quimson, Danao Vice Mayor Tom Gonzaga, and Getafe Councilor and PCL provincial federated president Antonio Ouano, among others.
The congressman said his bets for the Provincial Board of the 2nd district are incumbent Tomas Abapo Jr., Mayor Boniel, and Councilor Ouano to complete the “ABO” acronym under the Nationalist Peoples Coalition.
Meanwhile, provincial election supervisor Eliseo Labaria said Bohol’s three congressional districts now has a total of 757,144 voters, with Tagbilaran City having 54,100 voters.
He said the vote-rich towns are: Ubay with 40,803 voters, Talibon (32,168), Carmen (27,844), Loon (26,340), Inabanga (25,817), Tubigon (25,704), and Dauis (24,607).
The towns with number of voters below 10,000 are: Dimiao with 9,319, Antequera (8,438), Batuan (7,870), Sevilla (6,775), Alburquerque (6,408), Lila (6,395), San Isidro (6,100), Corella (4,853), and Sikatuna (4,486).
