INOPACAN, LEYTE , Philippines— The local government unit of this town has started its One-Stop Shop project to provide businesses easier and more convenient processing of applications for renewal and new permits.
Under this project, businessmen can get all requirements they have to accomplish in one venue, making the approval of permits faster and minimizing their expenses for processing.
Mayor Sylvestre Lumarda said he initiated this program to provide businessmen more convenience at lesser cost and time in renewing their yearly permits or in getting a new one.
The Bureau of Fire Protection, headed by SFO3 Romeo Palma, municipal fire marshall, for his part said the certificate on fire safety are only issued after conducting an inspection.
Palma told The Freeman that this may not be covered entirely by the One-Stop Shop project because the BFP has to determine first all safety aspects like electrical connections, number of exits and firefighting equipment of business establishments. (FREEMAN)
